Word of Tuesday

Verse of the day: Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; Its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit”

Chris comment: There is a difference between faith and trust in God. Faith can fail because of bad circumstances but trust remains UNSHAKABLE no matter what.

It’s all about the foundation of you faith. If your faith is based on the informations you get from people or from the news, well you’ll be comfortable when the news are good but once the news are bad, your faith is transformed to fear.

If you are a Christian, I know you believe in God which means you have faith. My next question is: “Do you trust God?”. It’s good to believe in God BUT it’s way much better to trust him. It’s good to believe that there is only one mighty God, but I want to remind you that even demons believe so according to James 2:19. But demons don’t trust God because there is no longer a good and mutual relationship between them and Him.

As Christians, we should go further than just believing God but trusting Him regardless the bad circumstances. We should build our trust on what He has already said because If He said something; He’ll stay behind His word to fulfill it (Jeremiah 1:12).
