You can defeat the giant of your life (Part 7)
Verse of the day: 1 Samuel 17: 39 "David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul: I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them. So David took them off"
If you are reading this teaching for the first time, I suggest you read the last six teachings to avoid any misunderstanding or confusion because I will write assuming you have already read all the first six teachings.
All the teaching is based on the confrontation between the child David and Goliath after all the army of Israel was not able to appear before him. We had understood that the giant Goliath embodied all kinds of problems we can face and before which we often tremble. As I already said, David’s confidence was based on his personal experience with the Lord, who often gave him supernatural strength to fight and to kill the lions and the bears when his sheep were attacked. It was this same confidence that made King Saul gave him the chance to face Goliath in spite of his childhood. Saul thought that if the Lord had truly delivered him from the lions' mouth, He could certainly deliver him from Goliath.
The verse of the day (1 Sam 17: 39) shows King Saul trying to force David to bear the warrior’s armor to ensure the victory but David realized that it was rather an obstacle and ended up taking them off. He even added that he could not walk with them because he has not tested them.
By this we see the contrast between two very different options: the carnal (or physical) option of King Saul and the David’s spiritual option. Whenever you find yourself in front of a giant problem, there is in your mind one of the two options: Either you have the carnal option that you have to fight and defend yourself or the spiritual option in which you directly attack the problems by using the spiritual weapons. The Bible says that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood (Eph 6: 12); One of the very common mistakes among Christians, is that they want to solve any problem carnally or humanely while ignoring that its root is spiritual. David understood this and we are supposed to understand it better than him because we have the Bible that he had not.
Let us lean on God’s ability and not on our own ability.

Tu peux vaincre le géant de ta vie (7e Partie)
Verset du jour: 1 Samuel 17 :39 « David ceignit l'épée de Saül par-dessus ses habits, et voulut marcher, car il n'avait pas encore essayé. Mais il dit à Saül: Je ne puis pas marcher avec cette armure, je n'y suis pas accoutumé. Et il s'en débarrassa »
Si vous lisez cet enseignement pour la première fois, je vous suggère de lire les six premières parties pour éviter tout malentendu ou confusion car j’écris en supposant que vous avez déjà lu toutes les six premières parties.
Tout l’enseignement est basé sur le face à face entre l’enfant David et le géant Goliath après que toute l’armée d’Israël n’ait pas pu se présenter devant lui. On avait compris que le géant Goliath incarnait toutes sortes de problèmes auxquels nous pouvons faire face et devant lesquels nous tremblons souvent. Comme je l’ai déjà dit, l’assurance de David était fondée sur son expérience personnelle avec l’Eternel qui lui donnait souvent la force surnaturelle de combattre et de tuer les lions et les ours au moment où ils attaquaient ses brebis. C’est d’ailleurs cette même assurance qui a fait que le roi Saül lui a donné la chance de faire face à Goliath malgré son enfance. Saül s’est dit que si l’Eternel l’avait réellement délivré de la gueule des lions, Il pourrait certainement le délivrer de Goliath.
Le verset du jour (1 Sam 17 :39) nous montre le roi Saül essayant de forcer David à porter les armes d’un guerrier pour assurer la victoire mais David s’est rendu compte que c’était plutôt un obstacle d’où il s’en est débarrassé. Il a même ajouté : « je n'y suis pas accoutumé ».
Par-là, nous constatons le contraste entre deux options totalement différentes : L’option charnelle (ou physique) du roi Saül et l’option spirituelle de David. A chaque fois que tu te trouves devant un géant problème, il y’a dans ton esprit l’une des deux options : Soit tu as l’option charnelle selon laquelle il faut que tu combattes et te défendes charnellement, soit tu as l’option spirituelle selon laquelle tu t’attaques directement au vrai problème sur base des armes spirituelles. La bible dit que nous n'avons pas à lutter contre la chair et le sang (Eph 6 :12) ; Une des erreurs très fréquentes chez les chrétiens, c’est de vouloir résoudre tout problème charnellement ou humainement tout en ignorant que sa racine est spirituelle. David l’a compris et nous sommes supposés le comprendre mieux que lui car nous avons la bible que lui n’avait pas.
Appuyons-nous sur la capacité de Dieu et non sur notre propre capacité.
