(Second part)
Memory verse (Jer 51:25): " Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, Who destroys all the earth, says the LORD. And I will stretch out My hand against you, Roll you down from the rocks, And make you a burnt mountain ".
Mountains are those insurmountable challenges, difficulties, impossibilities, problems, debts, incurable disease, poverty, bareness etc. Mountains are older, taller and bigger than you. Have you had the opportunity of seeing a mountain? If so, then you would believe with me that that mountain is far taller than you, again that mountain is bigger than you and it's older than you.
If you will observe certain things that torments and oppresses your life, you’ll see that many of them have been in your family, tribe, nation way before you were ever born. Many of your problems are older than you. Again when you try to compare yourself with those mountains before you, they are far bigger than you. You look a dwarf before them. That’s how David was before Goliath. That’s how the children of Israel who went to spy the promised land appeared before the giant-inhabitants of the land. Another thing about spiritual mountains, there have the power and mission to destroy. God called it a destroying mountain. It’s true; Satan set these mountains to destroy your faith, family, children, hope, ministry, finances, and destiny. So you don’t need to treat mountains in your life lightly.
Good news: God is going to stretch forth his hand and roll away those destroying mountains. To the house of Judah, this mountain God is talking about was the nation of Babylon and surely he rolled it away and as we talk today it’s no more. I want encourage you dear ones of the Lord, it does not matter how big and tall and old that mountain is, God is able to roll it away. Babylon stood before Judah for 70 years but it’s day came when God uprooted it. I don’t know for how long that mountain has tortured your family, husband, ministry, health, it’s day is coming when God’s hand will be stretched against it and it will be no more. Perhaps you had lost hope, please don’t. God’s silence does not mean he is not following what is happening in your life. He is busy counting the days of your mountain. The days of your mountain are numbered. Have patience and don’t let go your faith.
