(Third part)
Memory verse (Matt8: 23-26): " Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us! We are perishing! But He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm ".
There are natural storm in this world, but are also spiritual storm in life. Storms have levels, there are from simple winds to great tornados. There is the Katerina that destroyed the city in America and there was the Tsunami that left hundred of thousands of lives dead. There are storms in your personal life, in your family, finances, marriage, church, ministry, nations etc. In other words, all who walk this walk of life will experience winds, storms at certain moments of life. When the winds were violent on the sea the disciples of Jesus feared, but when Jesus arose to face the storm. He asked them why they feared. He commented that they had little faith.
Maybe you are experiencing storms in different areas of life and you are crying, fearing that you are going to die. Yes storms have ability to kill but Jesus Came to give you life. You are out there thinking of how your business is going to die because of the current economic down turn, maybe you are fearing that your children are going to be lost because of the winds of lawlessness and wickedness blowing across the earth, yes storms are there but fear is not the solution. There is a word and authority God put into your life and everything including your storms bows to it. Jesus expects his disciples to speak to the storms and calm the seas. There is power in you that is able to calm your marriage, business, life, ministry.
Keep building your faith on God’s word. Have continuous communion with the Lord in your life, put on the whole Armour of God, take up our spiritual mighty weapons and resist the storms and there will bow, (Jer1: 9-10). God has put his word in your mouth and he has set you over situations of life including all storms. Stop crying start commanding. What do you do with God’s words in your mouth? When God spoke things were created, when you speak God’s words he has put in your mouth, storms will be stopped and there will be peace in your life, ministry and family.
